4th of July Weekend Trip

We finally got the chance to get a few days of vacation during the 4th of July.  We left the morning of the 4th and headed north to ND.  We had to take the Semi with us to get worked on in SD.  Hubby drove the Semi while Mr T and I followed in the car.  Most of the trip to SD was spent with this statement by Mr T "lost trailer, lost trailer!"  We had unhooked the cattle pot and left it home, this deeply concerned Mr T!  He still talks about "daddy - lost trailer'!

The trip north was uneventful, we rolled in the grandparents house around 6pm.  They had went to a local rodeo so we unloaded the car, ordered pizza and played catch in the yard.

So happy to be out of the car!
It was a little difficult trying to explain to a country-fried two year old, that you had to stay in a yard, couldn't go into the street or play in the tree in the neighbor's yard.  We just don't have to deal with such restrictions!

Friday was spent catching up with friends and family.  I got to spend a couple of hours going to  garage sales with one of friends and then had supper with her and another friend.  Saturday was spent out at Hubby's brother and SIL's arena for their annual roping.  Hubby was entered, Mr T and I went along to cheer and catch up with all of our old friends and we even met some new ones :).
Father and Son?  Hard to tell....LOL!

Cousin S leading Mr T on "Little Buddy"

Hubby - I think he did more visiting than actual roping but we will let it slide this year!

Sunday was a relaxing day for us and we took Mr T to a park.  He fell in love with slides!  He had so much fun playing at the park and getting some energy wore off so he would nap.
Going Down!

Climbing up!

So much fun :)

After his nap, we headed out to Grandpa D's new place out in the country.  So far, he just has the barn put up but we enjoyed the tour and of course we really enjoyed eating steaks afterwards!
Gpa D's new horse barn.

Checking out the new property.

Playing with Gma S.

Monday, we had to head home but first we stopped by the Spearfish Fish Hatchery for some park time and a little water time as well :)  It was such a fun trip and we enjoyed seeing all of our wonderful friends and family!

Relaxing with dad.

Getting caught up on my baseball skills.

Brrr.....this water was cold!

Hope that everyone had a fun-filled 4th of July as well!!!

Have a blessed day!
