A Quick Trip to SD for a Birthday

We went to SD over the weekend to celebrate my nephew C's 7th birthday.  It was a super quick decision to go on this trip, we left Friday AM after deciding only on Thursday to go.  My mom went with us, which made Mr T super happy to have a travel companion in the back seat with him.

The first stop once we got to SD was to check on our cows that we hauled up to cornstalks in September.  My awesome brother has been feeding them for us all winter, plus doing all of his work so we owe him big time!  We took a pickup box trailer loaded with cake for the cows so while we waited for the cows to gather up for their feed, I tried to hand feed them.

Come and Get It Cows!
Almost got a taker....
Yep, #59 took the piece of cake from me!
Did I mention that they got nearly 15 inches of snow just recently?
After feeding the cows their cake, we headed into town for supper with my brother and his family.  Then it was finally time to get Mr T down for the night.  We spent the two nights sleeping at a guest house.  Have you ever stayed at a Guest House?  They are truly unique and a nice play to stay.  Since we were the only ones staying at this Guest House, it was like being at our own house.  The people that own this GH have been friends of the family for a very long time and we really appreciate them always letting us snag a room when we need one.  I forgot to take pictures but it is a cute place!

Saturday was the birthday party for Nephew C.  We spent the day at a fire hall and all of SIL's family were there as well, so there was plenty of kids for Mr T to hang out with.  There was two other 2 year olds for him to hang out with.  I am pretty sure that they wore each other out by the end of the day!

Brother C, Hubby and SIL's mom.
Yep, there is no party until the Budlight shows up :)

Mr T having some fun.
Nephew C with the 3 - two year olds....he was the ring bearer in three weddings :)  A good luck charm!
And of course no party is complete without cake and ice cream!

Yum!
We headed back on Sunday and I am thinking that all of us are still trying to catch up from all of the fun that we had!

 Have a Blessed Day!
