On Friday, we had a couple of our neighbors come over and help Hubby put up the main support beam for the house. Since we have went with a very open floor plan, we needed a support beam to run down the middle of the house for added support for the second floor. The beam was a little heavier than Hubby anticipated but by true brute strength and some scaffolding, it was soon in place.
I was too busy conversing with the neighbors that I forgot to take pictures of the crew setting the beam into place but I did remember after it was up in place!!! The best part of the entire afternoon was the neighbor kids that came along and played with Mr. T. He was one tired little boy by nightfall. After eating pizza and a bath, he was all about going to bed.

Hubby also started putting OSB up on the wall that divides the house and shop. He is cruising along a quite a productive pace. We are already ready for another trailer load of materials which will be arriving next week.
